Welcome to cvhack.com ("CVHack," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our website, mobile application, and services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). Please read these Terms carefully before using our Services.
By registering for an account or using CVHack, you confirm that you accept these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Services.
2.1. To access and use certain features of our Services, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
2.2. You are responsible for safeguarding your account password and for any activities or actions under your account, whether or not you have authorized such activities or actions. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
2.3. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if any information provided during registration or thereafter proves to be inaccurate, false, not current, or incomplete, or if you violate these Terms.
3.1. Our Services allow you to create, upload, post, store, send, receive, and share content, including resumes, cover letters, personal information, and other materials ("User Content").
3.2. You retain all ownership rights to your User Content. However, by submitting User Content to CVHack, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, prepare derivative works of, display, and perform the User Content in connection with the Services and our business, including for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Services, and for training and improving our AI models and Services.
3.3. You represent and warrant that: (i) you either are the sole and exclusive owner of all User Content or you have all rights, licenses, consents, and releases necessary to grant us the rights in such User Content, as contemplated under these Terms; and (ii) neither the User Content, nor your posting, uploading, publication, submission, or transmittal of the User Content or our use of the User Content (or any portion thereof) will infringe, misappropriate, or violate a third party’s patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, moral rights, or other proprietary or intellectual property rights, or rights of publicity or privacy, or result in the violation of any applicable law or regulation.
4.1. Access to certain features of the Services, such as downloading templates or performing evaluations, requires payment through a credit system. Users purchase credits ("Credits") which can then be redeemed to access these paid features. The number of Credits required for each feature will be specified within the Service.
4.2. Purchased Credits are added to your user account balance. Credits do not expire.
4.3. All purchases of Credits are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law. Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, and cannot be exchanged for cash or other forms of credit.
4.4. When you use Credits to access a template for a specific CV, you are granted the right to reuse and re-download that template *for that same CV document* for a period of thirty (30) days from the initial redemption date, without spending additional Credits. Access to reuse the template for that specific CV expires after this 30-day period.
4.5. The 30-day reuse right described in clause 4.4 applies only to modifications and downloads of the *original CV document* for which the template was initially purchased. Using the same template for a *different* CV document (even within the same account) will require spending Credits again.
4.6. We reserve the right to change the price for Credits or the number of Credits required for any feature at any time. Price changes will not affect Credits already purchased and reflected in your account balance. We will provide reasonable notice of any such changes.
5.1. CVHack provides a platform offering various tools and services related to career development, including but not limited to:
5.2. We may also facilitate access to professional resume/cover letter writing services and LinkedIn profile optimization services provided by independent third-party contractors or companies ("Third-Party Providers").
5.3. **Disclaimer Regarding Third-Party Services:** While we may connect you with Third-Party Providers, CVHack acts solely as a facilitator. We are not a party to the agreement between you and the Third-Party Provider. We make no representations or warranties regarding the quality, suitability, timeliness, or legality of the services provided by Third-Party Providers. You engage with Third-Party Providers at your own risk, and **CVHack expressly disclaims any and all liability arising from or related to the services provided by Third-Party Providers.** Any disputes or issues regarding third-party services must be resolved directly with the relevant Third-Party Provider.
5.4. Our Services, including evaluations and templates, are designed to assist you in your job search efforts. However, CVHack makes no guarantees regarding job placement, interview success, employment offers, or any specific career outcomes resulting from the use of our Services.
6.1. Certain features of our Services may incorporate or be enhanced by artificial intelligence technologies ("AI Services"), such as resume analysis, content suggestions, and evaluations.
6.2. You acknowledge that AI Services operate based on algorithms and data, which may have inherent limitations, biases, or inaccuracies. While we strive to provide useful and relevant outputs, CVHack does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any information or suggestions generated by the AI Services. **You should critically review and verify any content or advice provided by AI Services before relying on it.**
6.3. By using features that employ AI Services, you consent to the processing of your User Content by these AI systems as necessary to provide the feature and to improve our AI models and Services. Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
7.1. The Services and all materials therein or transferred thereby, including, without limitation, software, images, text, graphics, illustrations, logos, patents, trademarks, service marks, copyrights, photographs, audio, videos, music, and User Content belonging to other Users (the "CVHack Content"), and all Intellectual Property Rights related thereto, are the exclusive property of CVHack and its licensors (except for your User Content).
7.2. Except as explicitly provided herein, nothing in these Terms shall be deemed to create a license in or under any such Intellectual Property Rights. Our templates, designs, evaluation methods, and tools are provided for your personal, non-commercial use in creating your own career documents via our Services. **You agree not to sell, license, rent, modify, distribute, copy, reproduce, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, publish, adapt, edit, or create derivative works from any CVHack Content, including our templates.**
7.3. The license granted to use a template upon redemption of Credits (as described in Section 4) is personal, non-transferable, and subject to the limitations set forth in these Terms, including the 30-day reuse period for the specific CV document. You may not share purchased templates with others or use them outside the intended functionality of the Services.
You agree not to use the Services:
9.1. THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. USE OF THE SERVICES IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. NO ADVICE OR INFORMATION, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, OBTAINED BY YOU FROM CVHACK OR THROUGH THE SERVICES WILL CREATE ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY STATED HEREIN.
9.2. **Third-Party Service Disclaimer:** AS STATED IN SECTION 5.3, CVHACK EXPLICITLY DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY ACT, OMISSION, QUALITY, OR OUTCOME RELATED TO SERVICES PROVIDED BY THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS (INCLUDING PROFESSIONAL WRITING AND LINKEDIN OPTIMIZATION SERVICES) ACCESSED THROUGH OR FACILITATED BY OUR PLATFORM. YOUR ENGAGEMENT WITH THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS IS SOLELY BETWEEN YOU AND THE PROVIDER.
9.3. **AI Service Disclaimer:** AS STATED IN SECTION 6.2, CVHACK DOES NOT WARRANT THE ACCURACY OR RELIABILITY OF OUTPUTS FROM AI SERVICES. YOU USE AI-GENERATED CONTENT AT YOUR OWN RISK AND ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING ITS SUITABILITY.
9.4. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CVHACK, ITS AFFILIATES, AGENTS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, PUNITIVE, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SERVICES.
9.5. The foregoing limitations of liability shall apply to the fullest extent permitted by law in the applicable jurisdiction. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above exclusions and limitations may not apply to you.
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal information and other data. By using the Services, you agree to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described in our Privacy Policy, including the processing necessary for AI Services as outlined herein.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect, such as by posting a notice on our website or sending an email to the address associated with your account. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
12.1. We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.
12.2. If we terminate your account for breach of these Terms, your right to use the Services will immediately cease. Any unused Credits remaining in your account at the time of termination for cause may be forfeited and will not be refunded, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
12.3. You may terminate your account at any time by discontinuing use of the Services or by using the account deletion feature if available within the platform. Termination by you does not entitle you to a refund of any purchased Credits, unless required by law. All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located in Nigeria for any actions for which we retain the right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief.
